Mountain Rhythm is...
Kevin Pace

I'm a life long resident of Paulding County, GA. I have been playing music for more than half of my life and I feel it's time to
try and make it as a professional musician. This is something I've wanted for awhile now, but for different reasons, I couldn't be serious about until now.
I had taken care of my ailing mother since right after high school, which took up much of my time. Sadly, I lost my mother in
August of 2005. I was dedicated to her to the very end and now I am that dedicated to Bluegrass Music.
I play several different instruments but my main instrument
(and favorite) is the Mandolin. In November of 2005, I got together with an old pickin' buddy
of mine, Kenneth Newell. We decided to form a group that would stay true to the traditional sounds of bluegrass. We want to do our part in keeping it alive.

I'm 22 years old and just graduated from Auburn University. I love traditional Bluegrass and Old Time Country Music. I play several instruments but my main instrument is the banjo.
I have several different styles that I play: Traditional Bluegrass, Old Clawhammer Style of Grandpa Jones, Uncle Dave Macon, etc. I've won the National Old Time Banjo Championship in Murfreesboro, TN and have also played on the Opry Star Spotlight, which is a live radio show
on WSM 650 AM Radio in Nashville. My ultimate dream is to play music for a living.

I grew up in Douglasville, GA and started playing guitar at the age of seven. Playing Bluegrass Gospel was what did in our small church. At the age of 15, I got an electric guitar and started playing local clubs. After a few years, I grew tired of the rock
clubs and found my way back to Bluegrass, via my ex-wife Christina, who had taken me to a Bluegrass festival. My life had gone full circle. My ex-wife and I started playing Bluegrass Gospel and touring all over the Southeast as Christina and True Blue, playing all local churches and festivals. We got a break in 2001 when Campbell Mercer heard our cd
and asked us to play at the Jerusalem Ridge Celebration the following year. We were featured on TV and Radio stations all over the country.
After our divorce in 2005, I got together with a former band member named Kevin Pace to form Mountain Rhythm. In a short amount of time, with Kevin's mandolin and powerful vocals, we have done great things. Since forming the band in November of 2005, we have played almost every weekend, have been on TV & Radio...and greater things are coming our way!
